The author relates a story of forgiveness involving the Mehrtens family and two young men who shot Myra Centanni Mehrtens in Lake Vista, Louisiana. Doctor Sharon Giambrone, a daughter of the victim, presented a Bible to Nathan Foreman, an accomplice of gunman Jonathan Bailey. Giambrone also promised to pray for him. Defense attorney Robert Jenkins praised the late Myra Mehrtens for teaching good values to her children.
