ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the success of the American Institute of Biological Sciences Inc. (AIBS). He states that the institute together with the Federation of American Societies for Experimental biology has successfully built the American Biology Council to offer a unified voice for the field. He adds that the dedication of AIBS to supply public information and respond with confidence has fully recognized the field of biology.
