The author offers her thoughts on adult development. She forwards that a large part of the job of the Montessori head of school is attending to the welfare of the adults in the school community. She also said that the popular idea of "Parent-School Partnership" has long been a mainstay of American Montessori school philosophy. However, conflicts do occur between well meaning partners. Psychologist Trish Calvert suggested some techniques in dealing with these conflicts.
