ABSTRACT
The author reflects on regulatory issues in the financial planning profession and the financial services industry. The U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission has published the 2008 Rand report and he feels that it was a disappointment as it did not answer important questions. The author believes that financial planning should be regulated as a separate entity from other financial services in the industry.
