The author reflects on how security industry contributes to lessen environmental hazards. She cites that manufactures are on their way in eliminating environmentally harmful packaging materials. She says that manufactures in Europe is implementing Restriction of Hazardous Substance (RoHS) compliance in their factories. She suggests that environmental standards should incorporate in system designing.
