ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the economic condition in Albania. He commends Prime Minister Sali Berisha for successfully implementing economic reforms in the country and for making the Albanian government more efficient. He describes some of the actions taken to manage the Albanian economy, such as enacting a 10 percent flat tax on income and profits and lowering of social security levies. He adds that the government was able to make it easier to do business in Albania.
