ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the assessment of the functions of the right ventricle. According to the author, less consideration has been traditionally awarded to the right ventricle as compared to the left ventricle. It is said that the recognition of the critical function of the right ventricle in determining the clinical result in clinical failures and congenital heart diseases has increased the interest about it.
