The author reflects on the outcome of the conference titled "The New Face of California: The Great Central Valley" organized by the Center for Social Justice at Boalt Hall School of Law at the Central Valley in California. He says that the conference should serve as a model for universities and community advocates across the nation. He added that the work that was started at Boalt Hall in 2005 continues in even deeper ways throughout the Central Valley.
