ABSTRACT
The author suggests ideas of pastoral imagination and pastoral intelligence. He enumerates factors that are essential to the emergence of a mature pastoral imagination. He explains why pastoral imagination can only in part be brought to the ministry. He discusses the genius of a pastoral imagination built on the knowledge of the buoyancy of God.
