He discusses how lying about steroid use has put some American sports personality in disgrace, and enumerates some of the possible things that one may end up to when caught lying. As word-of-mouth from lies and misdeeds can fatal for a business, the author suggests that if one seeks to be the best, he or she get there in a way that leaves a positive legacy.
