The author reflects on the supply and demand regarding telecommunication industry in the U.S. He states that the new initiatives that create demand has been carefully guarded to ensure that the demand increased ability will not be disrupted. He discusses Verizon Communications Inc.'s move to boost the demand of FiOS system. He comments on the imperfection of the supply chain and the pressures of supply/demand which have been the same since market economies put into place.
