Pillars on your porch

Goodler, Steve
October 2007
Breckenridge American;10/13/2007, Vol. 82, p2A
The author reflects on the significance of friendship and compares it to pillars on the porch. He asserts that all people are survivors as everybody experienced events that are overwhelming but have come to live through it. He believes that while there are heavy burdens, carrying them seem to be lighter when people are aware that there are others who can help them overcome these problems. The author mentions that for those who are going through tough times, this may be the appropriate time to reach out as others may just be waiting to be asked for.
