ABSTRACT
The author reflects on why he believes there is no conflict between science and religion. He founded the Clergy Letter project in 2004 because he felt most people would select religion if forced to choose between religion and evolution. The letter is a two-paragraph statement explaining that Christians can embrace evolution and requests that it be taught in public schools. The disagreement in the U.S. about science and religion, the letter's supporters and Evolution Weekend are discussed.
