The author look at the impact of offering credit opportunities to people with limited means of paying back on the trailers and truck industry in the U.S. in 2008. He notes that poor credit policies place individuals, financial companies and the economy at risk. He cites that poor credit management is one of the reason for the decline in the commercial truck and trailer market. He states that aggressive marketing programs can lead to failure when policies attempt to supersede fundamental economic principles and human nature.
