ABSTRACT
The author offers his views on the increasing price of palm and olive oils. The price of palm oil is likely to be quite high in 2008 because of demand for food and biofuels, and because of that the price of soaps and detergents might start to rise. At the top end of the personal care market, either prices will rise or the margins of the producers will be squeezed or maybe both.
