The author announces the Insurer's Choice Technology Ranking for 2008 headed by Financial Insights. The author urges insurance carriers in U.S. and Canada to respond to a survey that will determine the results of the rankings of insurers' technology providers. Categories of the rankings include insurance operations, developing products, and/or optimizing workflow. Reasons for doing the survey include the expectation of clients and intermediaries on insurers, the demand of regulators for transparency and the increasing growth of technology firms.
