ABSTRACT
The author comments on the new professional qualification scheme (PQS) offered by the Chartered Institute of Personnel & Development (CIPD) in Great Britain. He contends that for most employee development candidates the exam was a disaster. He argues that many learning and development exam scripts feature long but unfocused answers, devoid of what matters most.
