The author illustrates how the concept of usage density becomes key in considering variable speeds when downloading as 4G wireless data networks nears its launch. He thinks that the bigger challenge in 4G networks will surely be in maintaining user satisfaction as network usage grows. He believes that in order to manage usage density, 4G service should be tariffed on the basis of peak data rates and networks.
