ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the music of singer Steve Earle. The author states that the singer started to relate his music to politics since the launch of his first music album in 1980s. His new album called "Washington Square Serenade" is a mix of schools of country music with rock and hip-hop and is being touted as Earle's return to personal songwriting.
