The author reflects on possible impact of the open network system of Verizon Wireless on the industry. According to the author, this move is an answer to the elaborate needs of its subscribers and includes not only handsets but digital cameras and gaming gadgets. She further notes that products, including third-party applications that will be designed to work with Verizon should meet the technical requirements to be published by the network.
