ABSTRACT
The article comments on the plan by the Bombay Co. to close its U.S. stores. According to the author, the company's assortment, presentations and looks quickly helped set it apart from traditional furniture stores, but lost its ability to be special. The author claims that the changes Bombay said it would carry out were not dramatic enough to reignite the spark.
