The author reflects on the issues concerning the proposed farm bill in the U.S. He states that the crop insurance is the most important piece of legislation for improving the quality of life and economic vitality of the rural communities. Furthermore, he stresses that the new farm bill is an opportunity to reverse the negative status of the agriculture in the country and it also protects the American working families.
