ABSTRACT
The author reflects on artist Chris Dorland and his works in the U.S. The author thought that Dorland was a painter with a project and that his work was effectively re-articulating what a painting can still do and do best. She added that the painter was thinking about painting, history, utopia, and social experimentation through painting. Lastly, the author commented on the Dorland's works, including "Century City" and "Running Man."
