ABSTRACT
The authors reflect on a study, conducted by V. Gebski and colleagues, which discusses how neoadjuvant chemoradiotherapy or chemotherapy given before surgery increase survival in patients with esophageal cancer. He notes that on comparing chemotherapy with surgery Gebski and colleagues analyzed that in patients with adenocarcinoma survival benefits increased. He views that chemotherapeutic agents show better results establishing neoadjuvnate chemoradiotherapy as better option for patients.
