ABSTRACT
The author reflects on a study, conducted by Y. Rolland and colleagues, which focuses on the effect of an exercise program in slowing the decline in ability to do activities of daily of living (ADLs) in patients with Alzheimer disease (AD). The author opines that the study suggested that the differential decline in overall ADL function was not driven by differences in physical performance. He says that the study did not address issues like cost-effectiveness.
