ABSTRACT
The author presents an opinion on the appropriateness of Las Vegas, Nevada as the host city for the fourth annual Engineering Green Buildings (EGB) Conference and Expo of the periodical "HPAC Engineering." He cites that the city ranks 11th in the U.S. in terms of green buildings per capita. He applauds the efforts of the Las Vegas Water District to take advantage of the city's annual average of 300 days of sunshine for a solar array project. He describes the MGM City Center green building project.
