The author relates his experiences on attending two international dental shows (IDS). He was one of the 10 people who cut the ribbon to officially open the Osaka Dental Meeting in Japan. At the meeting, he had the opportunity to talked to the president of the Osaka Dental Hygienists Association and to observe how dentists in the country are passionate about their jobs. He also attended the IDS meeting in Cologne, Germany and saw plenty of dental products at the exhibit.
