The article focuses on the improvement of the study of medical treatments and the effectiveness and safety of drugs on the market in the U.S. Researchers at federal agencies and other research organizations will have highly controlled access to data on hospitals, physicians and prescription drug benefits that are provided to Medicare beneficiaries while protecting patient privacy.
