ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the natural resources and environmental concerns in the U.S. He argues that students must evaluate the foundations of their environmental commitments to help safeguard nature. He states that students regard people in natural resource industries as the enemy and tagged logger as a forest rapist. Moreover, the author believes that the unstable situation of nature leave people in an ideal position for an epiphany, where it seems possible to re-imagine the world.
