ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the trend in subscription video-on-demand (SVOD). He asserts that SVOD is heading towards big profits. He cites as a case in point the implementation of a video bandwidth-management technique by Cablevision Systems Corp. He contends that by adding more foreign language channels, the bandwidths of cable providers will sell as SVOD.
