The author reflects on the participation shown by cable operators in the 2007 International Consumer Electronic Show (CES) in the U.S. He stresses that satellite television (TV) was considered as the top consumer-electronics retail product. The author argues that cable operators have introduced the utilization of interactive TV systems that enhances operations by cable television networks. He states that cable operators' involvement in CES aim to enhance their competition in the industry.
