ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the launch of a joint campaign dubbed HR Goes Green by the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) and "Personnel Management." She emphasizes the importance of a meaningful change that will have a lasting impact on the environment as well as business. She cites conditions which help pave the way for British organizations to improve their environmental performance. She claims that adopting green practices helps to attract and retain best recruits.
