ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the issue of network neutrality in the cable television industry in the U.S. He argues that the cable-modem service was not subjected to a law implemented for the telephone companies (TELCOs) which allows TELCOs to carry all phone calls without favoritism to any particular service. He suggests that such law should also be applied to the cable industry wherein customers can access content and applications on whatever speed network they pay for.
