ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the procurement programs of Coast Guard in the U.S. He refers to the under way managerial restructuring and deepwater program. He believes that these steps are aggressive and prudent because compromising more vessels, aircraft and communication system will take 25 years to bring the services in the modern age. He commented that situation is due to result of decades of underfunding by the executive and legislative branches of the government.
