The author reflects on incidents of fly-tipping in Great Britain. He states that fly-tipping is one of the most overt and persistent attacks on the countryside. The number of fly-tipping incidents reported by local authorities and the Environment Agency in 2006 was nearly 2.5 million. A legislation is already available to authorities in order to combat the problem of fly-tipping.
