The author suggests the creation of internship programs for college students at the start of their college tenure in the U.S. He provides information on an experiment by the University of Texas in Austin with the Intellectual Entrepreneurship (IE) Pre-Graduate School Internship. Also discussed are the benefits of such mentoring programs. According to him, the internship could help change the academic culture by educating a more enlightened generation of future academics.
