ABSTRACT
The article discusses the author's opinion about a collaborative effort between old enemies Microsoft Corp. and Novell Inc. that will allow Windows Server and Novell SuSE Enterprise Linux to work together. Windows and Linux are replacing proprietary Unix servers running Aix, HP-UX and Solaris. The author says that users should not have to pay because rival suppliers refuse to support seamless communications between their respective technologies.
