The article presents the author's views on the quality of leadership. Accordsing to the author, leadership is usually described as the vision thing, as leaders form a vision and dream to lift their companies. Howard Stoeckel, chief executive of Wawa Inc., says that leadership involves being a good listener, synthesizing the ideas of a team, and simplifying those ideas to facilitate action. Some consultants believe that company chiefs need to foster a leadership mentality throughout the ranks.
