ABSTRACT
The author discusses developments in the field of music composition for video games. He notes that the video games industry was increasing music budgets and game-developers were hiring audio professionals. He explains the various features of sound effects, sound mixing and other audio post-production work for games. He also stresses the importance of the software platform and supporting the various operating systems. The article will continue in the next issue of the magazine.
