ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the economic performance of travel industry in Australia for 2006. According to the author, the year has been the worst year for the industry, with many firms struggling to keep its profits on the run. He has stressed that the only successful agents will be those that can match the prices offered on the Internet and offer something that cannot be found on a computer.
