ABSTRACT
The article discusses the gethuman project which aims to improve the interactive voice response system in the U.S. It is accompanied by a Web site that helps the project increase consumer satisfaction by obtaining the best level of customer service from companies. The automated customer self service systems have gone under fire because of increasing customer dissatisfaction. Companies are advised to use the system but stratify their customers and provide different levels of service.
