ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the developments in customer relationship management (CRM) systems. He cites the problems experienced by a publishing company with its salesforce automation implementation. The author suggests that CRM initiatives are affected by several factors like CRM vendors going under, vendors not supporting older technology and executives and CRM project managers leaving. He introduces a series of articles offering business tips to a CRM vendor.
