ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the effectiveness of Canadian Practice Guidelines for the care and treatment of breast cancer supported by Health Canada. The author highlights a study by Steven Latosinsky and colleagues on the effectiveness of these guidelines on surgical practices. The author also discusses the importance of disseminating and increasing the resources for guidelines.
