ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the mass screening programs implemented for lung cancer patients. He claims that chance discovery of the disease has been popular through routine chest radiography. However, he states that this method has been criticized due to the unimproved mortality rates among patients. He likewise considers the use conventional tomography, but challenges its usefulness through randomized controlled trials.
