ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the institution of a fire department. According to the author, the act of affording fire protection over community need is nonetheless but a tough task. Factors like the size of a fire department to be built, the possible outcome of the new facility, and the financial aspects that would sustain its life are allegedly among the few that must be considered. Most specially, one factor that must allegedly be likewise considered is the number of volunteers in a community.
