ABSTRACT
The author reflects on Sealy's initiative to curtail warranties offered on its new bedding products and discusses the pros and cons of longer and shorter warranties in the bedding industry. Commenting on the competition among the producers and the retailers, the author welcomes shorter warranties. Emphasis laid on shorter warranties by Barrie Brown of Mattress Giant and Gerry Borreggine of Therapedic at the journal's Bedding Conference is also outlined.
