Marquardt, Michael J.
December 2006
Leadership Excellence Essentials;Dec2006, Vol. 23 Issue 12, p14
The author talks about questioning which has become the key to leadership excellence. According to him, Peter Drucker noted that former leader may have been a person who knew how to tell but a future leader will know how to ask. He gives emphasis on Socrates' realization that leading was more a matter of asking the right questions than of giving answers. The dialectic, a method of questioning in order to know the truth was developed by Socrates.
