ABSTRACT
The author comments on the importance of geographical indication (GI) to the global needs of Australian wine in the 21st century. He argues that the GI is not safeguarding the consumer. He says one clear aspect of delving into GI is that they are approached, interpreted and reacted to in mutable ways and from different perspectives.
