ABSTRACT
The article focuses on the need of ethical standards in the publishing chemical research. Three main groups are involved in the publication, the editors of the journals, the reviewers and the authors. The motivation of these groups is different. The author points out that there is a need for standard ethical guidelines and lauds the efforts American Chemical Society (ACS) and the the EuCheMS in developing the guidelines.
