ABSTRACT
The author reflects on the cold-calling practice. He explains the reason for not registering with the Telephone Preference Service. He contends that these calls are nothing but a means of collecting personal data and then try to sell a person something. He describes an excellent way to enhance customer knowledge. He criticizes the use of market research as a front for a sales pitch in cold-calling.
